It has been 50 years since our 35th president John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in the Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. The FBI and the Warren Commission concluded that Kennedy was killed by a lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald. In 1978, however, the US House Select Committee on Assassinations felt Kennedy's assassination was the result of a conspiracy. Flu Shots

It's coming... flu season. Be prepared by getting your flu shot on October 1 between noon and 4:00 PM. The professional staff from Canton's Walgreen's at Ford Road and Sheldon will provide flu shots for you and your family at the library. Most shots will be free and covered by your insurance. Remember to bring your insurance cards and let's see if we can make this winter a flu-free one for you.

Affordable Care Act Marketplaces

The Affordable Care Act Marketplaces (Exchanges) are scheduled to open on October 1st. This is where we will go to find the best solution to our individual and family health care insurance needs. Since this is a new experience for all of us, we need a little guidance and information to be successful, thrifty and healthy. David Huntzicker of Kapnick Insurance Group will be our guide as we begin our search. David will explain the categories and the time lines we will all need to be aware of, as well as all the options available to us.
