Elephant and Piggie Puppet Extravaganza

Elephant and Piggie with Book, Waiting is Not Easy

Join us to be entertained by a mini-marathon of Elephant and Piggie puppet stories. Can Piggie cheer up a sad friend? What happened to Gerald's trunk? Who is that Big Guy who took Piggie's ball, anyway? Find out the answers to these and other serious matters as you engage with these stories in a new way.

Prepare to experience storytelling in a new format by talking about theater behavior before the show:

  • Remember to use the restroom before the show and be seated when the show starts.
  • Remind your grown-ups to silence their phones.
  • Be respectful to other audience members by being mostly quiet, and by sitting mostly still.
  • Show your appreciation by clapping after each story. Laughter is also encouraged.

Recommended for all ages interested in Elephant and Piggie. There will be a short intermission.

Puppet Kits

Did you know we have puppets at the library? Did you know that we have created Puppet Kits for you to enjoy? The puppet kits contain a picture book and puppet to help bring the story to life. You can have an adventure with Curious George, get lost with Max and the Wild Things, or fight off the Big Bad Wolf with the 3 Little Pigs. Your adventures begin along the purple wall near the DVD's in the Children's Department.
