Niblet & Ralph by Zachariah OHora

Two cats that look alike live in the same building and, when they sneak out to visit one another, worry their young owners by their changed behavior.

I am a cat by Galia Bernstein

Simon, the housecat, points out that he may not roar like a lion or run fast like a cheetah, but he has many other things in common with the big cats.

Floaty by John Himmelman

Mr. Raisin is a bit of a grump. He lives all alone in a little house, and he likes it that way just fine. One day, a mysterious basket appears on Mr. Raisin's doorstep. When he opens it up, it seems there's nothing inside... until he notices a floating dog bobbing along his ceiling.

CJ, a German Shorthaired Pointer, was crowned Best in Show Champion at the 140th Westminster Kennel Dog Show in New York City's Madison Square Garden. The three-year old competed against over 2700 entries and 99 breeds to win to coveted prize. His co-owner and handler, Valerie Nunes-Atkinson, calls C.J. her "heart dog."

Happy National Dog Day!

Teach Your Dog New Tricks

Beagle is the Best!

A beagle named "Miss P" won Best in Show at the 139th Annual Westminster Dog Show in New York City. The 4 year-old beagle from British Columbia strutted her stuff in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 18,000 dog lovers at the Madison Square Garden. Her owner was "speechless" however, Miss P barked in agreement!

Chaser, the smartest dog in the world

Chaser may seem like an ordinary border collie who loves to play, but she has learned over 1,000 words and that's considered the largest vocabulary of any animal ever researched by humans. Her owner, 86-year old retired Wofford College psychology professor, began teaching and training Chaser the game of fetch as a puppy. Over time, those games became sophisticated language lessons. Watch the 60 Minutes segment here and find out more in his book, Chaser: unlocking the genius of a dog who knows a thousand words by John W. Pilley.
