For the last 80 years, librarians gather to award the Caldecott Medal to the artist of the most distinguished book with pictures for children. Basically an award for Best Pictures! We've done some of the heavy lifting and chosen eight contenders. Starting January 20, visit the Children's Library each week to vote on your favorite book. Copies of all the contenders will be available to read and examine. The titles with the top votes will continue on to the next week's voting. We'll announce our winner on Monday, February 12 when the winner of the real award will be revealed.
