Effective April 10, 2014, the OverDrive Media Console (OMC)mobile app for BlackBerry will no longer be available to download onBlackBerry, BlackBerry 10, and Playbook devices. However, BlackBerry users with the app installed prior to April 10 willbe able to continue downloading eBooks and audiobooks via OMC. OverDrive has decided to discontinue further support of this particular app due to its lack of usage.

The BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) Mobile application for iOS devices is now available at Apple’s App Store. The app enables National Library Service (NLS) patrons to download audio and Braille books, magazines and music scores directly to their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, provided they have a BARD account. NLS plans to release an app for Android devices in the near future.

This new app is for NOOK color, NOOK Tablet, NOOK HD, and NOOK HD+ with Wi-Fi access.  Users can visit the NOOK Apps storefront to install the free OverDrive Media Console app. The app enables users to locate their home library, browse or search for eBooks and MP3 audiobooks, and, after entering a valid library card,  check out and download the title directly on their device. We have detailed instructions available on the Library's Help Desk if you need them. Older NOOKs can continue with the sideloading method to download books.
