If you are interested in learning more about ways to get library books, movies, music and more on your computer or mobile device, TechBoomers has added online learning tools to help you get started. The website has now added tutorials for two of our most popular library apps: Hoopla and OverDrive. TechBoomers tutorials are developed with beginners in mind. Learn at your own pace, and unlock thousands of digital resources for free on your laptop, smartphone, iPad, or other device.

 

Make your summer break both fun AND productive with Gale Courses!  Gale Courses can help you learn the computer skills you need to take control of your school and work assignments. Get a solid foundation, or take your knowledge to the next level with multi-tiered courses in Microsoft Office software such as Excel or Outlook; Adobe products such as Illustrator or Photoshop; or even specialized accounting and drawing software. 

All Gale Courses are free with your Canton Public Library card, and the next set of classes is will begin on Wednesday, August 17. Learn on your own schedule, and receive a certificate of completion when you've finished. Our goal is to provide lifelong educational opportunities for you to gain new skills or improve existing ones. Digital Download Drop-In Help

Did you know that you can access thousands of eBooks, downloadable Audiobooks, movies, music, comics and magazines on your computer, smart phone or mobile device, just by registering with your Canton Public Library card? Check out our eMedia page for details. We can help you get started.

Stream movies, music, books and audiobooks with your Canton Public Library card. You can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on your Android or iOS device or visit hoopla to begin enjoying thousands of titles from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers. They are available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to your smartphone, tablet and computer, and can even be sent to your car stereo or television using a bluetooth connection, ChromeCast, Apple TV or other technology.

RBdigital Magazines

Check Out popular magazines a help icon

Access thousands of popular magazines online and enjoy them from cover-to-cover on your PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android device. Instructions on getting started are available for download.

Starting Thursday, 2/18, RBdigital magazines will be available through OverDrive and the Libby app. Users can access RBdigital magazines through the RBdigital app through Wednesday, 3/31.

Check Out popular e-books and e-audiobooks a help icon

E-books and e-audiobooks can be borrowed for up to 21 days, and will be returned automatically after the due date. All you need is your CPL card to check out and put items on hold. You can read or download them on your computer and a wide variety of devices.

Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar? Our first suspect, Marvin Mouse, can be found by searching the online catalog. Follow the clues to find the culprit, then find the missing cookies somewhere in the library. Once you've found the culprit, submit a ticket from the CYS Command Center spinner rack with your name and email for a chance to win a prize. (All prize drawing winners will be notified by email.) Don't forget to claim your Sleuth It badge online by Saturday, July 16.

This is a "wild badge", and will only be available from July 11 - July 16, so be sure to act quickly! And be on the lookout for other wild badges throughout the summer!

A puzzle from the past-for this week only the Sleuth badge is back! From today through July 16th you can claim the Sleuth badge by investigating and solving puzzles.
