Brown by Daniel Nunn

TEN MUSTANGS (Tune: Ten in the Bed)

There were ten mustangs [hold up ten fingers]

and the cowboy claimed [put on your cowboy hat]

"I'll catch you, I'll catch you." [shake your finger]

So she threw out her lasso and one got caught. [throw your lasso]

[repeat, counting down until all the mustangs have been caught]

TWO LITTLE BROWN BEARS (jbrary version

Two little brown bears sitting on a hill, one named Jack and one named Phil,

Run away Jack, run away Phil, come back Jack, come back Phil.

Two little brown bears digging in the snow, one named Fast and one named Slow...

Two little brown bears feeling very proud, one named Quiet and one named Loud…

HOOT HOOT WENT THE LITTLE BROWN OWL (inspired by jbrary)

Hoot hoot went the little brown owl one day, hoot hoot went the little brown owl

Hoot hoot went the little brown owl one day, and they all went hoot hoot hoot. But…

We know owls go “clap” la de la de la [wavey arms]

[clap] la de la de la [wavey arms], [clap] la de la de la [wavey arms]

We know owls go [clap] la de la de la [wavey arms], they don’t go hoot hoot hoot.

Flap flap went the little brown bat one day, flap flap went the little brown bat.

Flap flap went the little brown bat one day, and they all went flap flap flap. But…

We know bats go [clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms]

[clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms], [clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms]

We know bats go [clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms], they don’t go flap flap flap.
