Today is National Book Lovers Day and, needless to say, we here at Canton Public Library are definitely book lovers! In honor of the day, here are some of our favorite books that have been turned into films.
Share your favorite book-into-movie in the comments!
There are several film versions of Pride and Prejudice - we have the BBC/PBS mini-series (with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy), the 2005 Keira Knightly version, and the 1940 Laurence Olivier version, in our DVD section.
*This pick is a bit premature - the book is great, hopefully the movie (out March 2018) is, too!
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, one of the stories in this collection, is the source material for the movie Blade Runner. We also have this story in graphic novel format.
This is the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
*honorable mention (for the TV show - too good to leave off the list)
