Author Donald J. Sobol Dies

Beloved author of the Encyclopedia Brown series, Donald J. Sobol, passed away July 11, 2012. He was 87 years old. His Encyclopedia Brown series debuted in 1963 and has delighted children for decades. Sobol's son has said his father died of natural causes. Mr. Sobol is survived by his wife, sister, three children, and four grandchildren.

Get inspired, Go Wild

Have you earned your Go Wild badge yet? If not, summer isn't over yet--so you still have time. Now that the weather has gotten better, be sure to get out and Go Wild by taking a walk in the woods or at a park, enjoying Art in the Park this weekend, July 13, 14, and 15, 2012 in Downtown Plymouth, or run through the sprinkler to cool off. No matter what you choose to do, Go Wild and have fun!

Cloth Painting for Tweens

Tweens, get ready to get creative. Join us July 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM for our Cloth Painting Program. You supply the paintable item, for example, shirts, canvas shoes, bags, socks, pillowcases, etc., and we will supply the paint and other fun things to decorate your creations with. Registration begins June 26, 2012 and space is limited. See you there!
