Savvy Seniors: Tax Preparation Services 2017

Canton Township will be hosting the AARP TaxAide Program, providing free Federal and State tax preparation for residents of Canton and the surrounding communities. You do not need to be an AARP member to participate, everyone is accepted regardless of age or income.  The TaxAide program has a strong non-discrimination policy.  The program for tax year January 1 - December 31, 2016, will run February 6 - April 11, 2017.  Call 734-394-5485 to schedule your appointment.  

Note: Appointments are ONLY available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

There are additional AARP sponsored sites throughout Metro Detroit.

If you weren't able to get your Flu shot at Canton Public Library this past Tuesday, October 2 the Canton Leisure Center/Canton Seniors is holding a Flu Shot Clinic on Wednesday, October 23. Call the Canton Senior Center desk to make an appointment at 734-394-5485. Bring your Medicare and/or insurance card. Flu Shots and Pneumonia Shots are available.

Savvy Seniors: Wellness on Wednesday @ The Summit

On Wednesday, May 8 from 9:15AM to 2:00PM at the Summit on the Park Canton Senior Center, individuals 55 and older can participate in a variety of fitness classes and social activities such as Gentle or Intense Aqua, Best of Health and bingo. Registration required. Cost: $1 Summit Members, $3 Canton residents and $5 for non-residents.  To register call the Senior Center at 734-394-5485.
