Not in Our Town Art Contest

In partnership with the Canton Response to Hate Crimes Coalition and Canton Police Department, the library is sponsoring an art contest. Students are invited to submit artwork around the theme of inclusion, unity and peace to be displayed during the Community Unity & Peace Rally on September 26 in Heritage Park. Art work entries should be turned in at the Children's Desk.

RULES:

  1. Submissions accepted beginning September 1 and ending September 18 at 6:00 PM.
  2. Limit of one entry per person.
  3. Entries must be confined to a 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper.
  4. Artwork must be your own original work. You may get inspiration from a book or online, but do not copy someone else's art.
  5. First place and second place prizes will be awarded in three different age categories: Kindergarten through 5th grade, 6th-8th grade, 9th-12th grade. The decision of the judges is final.
  6. Winners will be announced September 26 at the Community Unity & Peace Rally.
  7. All entries will be displayed at Heritage Park during the rally.
  8. A completed contest entry form must accompany each submission.
