Music creates a soundtrack for our lives. It can enliven and enrich the lives of kids and the people who care for them from infancy and beyond. On Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM we will host a day's worth of fantastic, energetic, diverse musical acts. Come and celebrate the beat within all of us. 10:00AM - Music with Ms Carissa - Ms Carissa unleashes her tot rock for all to hear. She will be playing both her originals as well as some tried and true classics. Come and join her already huge local following. Recommended for families with kids birth thru 8 yrs old.
11:30AM - Detroit Pleasure Society - Traditional Jazz has never sounded so fresh and new. Check out Detroit Pleasure Society's bombastic and swingin' good tunes. Recommended for patrons young, old and everyone in between.
2:00PM - Drummunity - Lori Fithian lives to the beat of her own drum and challenges you to do the same. Experience the creation of and contribute to a real life, huge drum circle made up of all who wish to join the beat. All ages welcome. No previous experience required.
4:00PM - Istvan & his Imaginary Band - Istvan used to play in rock bands. Then, inspired by the birth of his own daughter, he decided to start to write his own rock songs and share them with elementary school aged kids and their families all around Chicago. Now he's branching out even further to rock the socks off of families all over the place and he's even won a Parent's Choice "Fun Stuff" Award for his most recent album, Playtime. The music he creates is super fun and highly interactive. Don't miss it!

Join the Michigan Organ Donor Registry to save lives during our fifth Michigan Libraries for Life campaign. Library staff will be available to answer questions, provide fun give-away items and most importantly, help community members to become organ, eye and tissue donors. If you are unable to stop by during the scheduled time and are interested in becoming a donor, register online.
The Canton Public Library has partnered with the Gift of Life Michigan in this endeavor. By hosting this campaign, we hope to educate, inspire and empower patrons to join Michigan's organ and donor registry and help save the lives of one or several of the 3,000 Michigan residents currently waiting for an organ transplant.

Raja Yoga Meditation helps you reach a deeper understanding of yourself, your intrinsic positive qualities and your innate value. There is beauty in all of us and through meditation the inner beauty not only is revealed to the self, but also to the people around us. Join practitioners from the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University on the last Saturday of every month from 4:00-5:45PM, to explore these universal concepts and encourage your inner spiritual development toward a fresh perspective on values such as justice, freedom, respect and love. Sessions will be interactive and experiential, where your tools for the inward journey will be explored and shared.
February's session will feature volunteers from Kids Helping Through the Arts. They will be making origami lotus flowers. This session welcomes attendees of all ages and levels. Bring the family down for crafts and an interactive meditation session.
