Strategic Plan

The Canton Public Library has completed the planning process of our strategic plan, to help us determine how to best serve your needs. With dwindling dollars and challenging economic times, your input is very important in deciding how to allocate our resources over the next three years.

Please comment on posts on this page and participate in our online surveys. We also have special Strategic Plan comment cards in the library or you may also post comments on our Twitter and Facebook accounts. And yes, we welcome and encourage face-to-face conversations with library staff.

For more information on our Strategic Plan, take a look at the insert in the September/October issue of Connections, our bimonthly newsletter.

Coffee with a Cop

Stop in the library on Tuesday, June 24 from 10:00 AM to noon and have a cup of coffee and conversation with an officer from the Canton Township Public Safety.

The Coffee with a Cop program provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in Canton’s neighborhoods and business districts.

“We hope that community members will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, or simply get to know our officers,” says Deputy Chief Scott Hilden. “These interactions are the foundation of community partnerships.”

Canton Community Survey

CPL Strategic Plan GoalsThe Canton Public Library and Canton Leisure Services have teamed up with ETC Institute to conduct a statistically-valid community survey to assist in planning and prioritizing for both organizations. If you are one of the 3,000 randomly-selected Canton households to receive the survey, please fill it out and return it promptly. The 30-question survey should take about ten minutes to complete. Your responses will help us better understand your needs and prioritize our Strategic Plan efforts for the next several years. Your opinion is very valuable and we greatly appreciate your time.

About Canton History
