Preschool Storytime

Preschool storytimes feature longer books, flannel board and rhymes designed for children ages 3 1/2 - 5.These activities help develop pre-reading and school-readiness skills.  Children must be able to sit independently and be attentive for 30 minutes. Parents may attend and participate, or must remain in the children's department. Storytimes will be held in the Friends' Activity Room starting Monday, April 10 through Friday, May 19. Please pick a Monday or a Friday session.

K Club

Children ages 4-6 can join our K Club program which encourages literacy and creative skills for children in the pre-k to kindergarten age range. We will listen and participate in stories, crafts and activities that center around a Christmas theme. Kids will also create a reindeer snack and have one of their own. Registration required.

K Club Pumpkin Party

Children ages 4-6 are invited to our K Club Pumpkin Party on October 25 after school. We will investigate pumpkins by learning how they grow, making a craft, and playing with pumpkin cake ingredients. We will also have stories on pumpkins and Halloween, and costumes are welcome. Kids will have fun exploring, creating and eating a pumpkin snack. Registration required.

This walk-in program will feature learning toys and puzzles for children to play with, along with our NEW "sensory play" additions. These additions will feature themed sensory bins for children to explore. Sensory play encourages cognitive, social, physical and creative processes for young children.

Come celebrate America's Birthday at our Independence Day program on June 28. Children ages 4-8 can wear red, white and blue, while enjoying stories, crafts and a snack at our patriotic party. Registration begins May 24.
