Savvy Seniors: March 2014

March is National Nutrition Month, in the words of Hippocrates “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." Canton seniors can dine Monday-Friday at 11:30AM at the Summit on the Park's Oak Room.  Free if you are 60 years or older.

Savvy Seniors: Get Active December 2013

Get a jump start on your New Year's resolutions! Even if you aren't used to being active, the holidays are a great time to get started. Spend time at family get-togethers going for walks or playing with your grandkids. Take a few extra laps around the mall when you're doing holiday shopping. Exercise before each holiday party you attend. Be more active and use the Go4Life resources to help you reach your goals.

New Dietary Guidlines Released

On January 31, 2011, the The Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services released the new Dietary Guidelines 2010.
