Wall Street Journal and New York Times Online Access

Starting June 1, CPL will begin offering online "behind-the-paywall" access to two popular newspapers: The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Here's what you need to know:

  • Links will be available on our databases page.
  • You will need a Canton Public Library card and PIN to access these newspapers.
  • You will need to create a free account at the newspaper's site: wsj.com or nytimes.com. You will have an opportunity to do this after you authenticate with your library card information.*
  • Access through our website will be valid for 24 (NYT) or 72 hours (WSJ). After that, you will need to revisit the library's website to re-activate. There is no limit on how many times you may re-activate.

*Please read the full privacy policy for any new service before signing up. Sharing login info with unauthorized users is a violation of our terms and agreement for both newspapers, and could result in cancellation of services.
