Wings of Wonder Storytime

Families with young children ages 0-5 looking for a fun way to experience stories and songs can join us for outdoor Wings of Wonder Storytime. Together with a Youth Librarian, build early literacy skills in a welcoming environment through meaningful stories and connection. Encourage a love of language and reading while practicing listening and cooperative tasks.

All storytimes take place near our Wings of Wonder butterfly garden in the back of the library so bring a blanket for the dewy morning grass and bring some bug spray if you desire to keep the mosquitos at bay. You may bring snacks and drinks. In case of inclement weather, storytime will be cancelled. Please note that the storytime will be between 20-30 minutes and WILL NOT be followed by an open play time.

This program REQUIRES REGISTRATION and space is limited. Registering one person from your family secures a spot - please register using the card of your child aged 0-5. Registration for all sessions begins two weeks in advance.

Although outdoor restrictions may have been lifted, we ask that each family is mindful of their storytime neighbor and gives each other plenty of space to dance and play.

62 Days of Summer 2020 Celebration: Backyard Circus

Sometimes life feels like it's a circus and sometimes it really is!  As we close out our 62 Days of Summer program, join us for a LIVE zoom presentation of The Backyard Circus.

The Backyard Circus presented by HireTheCircus.com is a classic "One-Ring" circus like the ones that toured the United States since the 1800's! Unbelievable contortion acts, fast-paced juggling, feats of strength, dangerous fire eating, amazing tricks with bullwhips...and aerial finale like you would see in the big top. Aerialists climbing up almost 30 feet into the air to twist and twine their way through delicate fabrics before diving and dropping to the ground. All delivered with a healthy dose of humor and interaction with the crowd. This family-friendly circus variety show has something for everyone!

Registration is required and runs from Wednesday, August 12 through Saturday, August 15 at 11:00AM. We send you the link and you log in and enjoy! One registration per family please.
