Goodfellows Christmas Assistance applications are available at the Reference Desk from September 15 to October 13.

Applications may also be printed from the Goodfellows website or picked up at the Canton Clerk's office.

 

Friends of the Canton Public Library Chili’s Fundraiser September 14

Support the Friends of the Canton Public Library by letting Chili's do your cooking on September 14. Present the attached flyer, digital or hard copy, at Chili’s, 41680 Ford Rd. from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on September 14 and 20 percent of sales will go directly to supporting library programs and events.

National Night Out
Featuring a Celebration of Canton's Not In Our Town Initiative

Join your neighbors on August 1, 6:30-8:30 PM at Heritage Park for a free night out sponsored by the Canton Response to Hate Crimes Coalition, the Canton Public Library and Canton Leisure Services. Activities will promote safer neighborhoods while building a more inclusive community for all.

Events include:

  • Interactive Community Booths
  • Children’s Activities including Hands-On Fun with Home Depot

  • Give-A-Ways from Community Partners

Supply Drive for First Step

You can make a difference this Mother's Day in the lives of women experiencing violence and abuse by donating needed items to First Step, an organization that works to eliminate domestic and sexual violence. First Step provides comprehensive services to individuals who are affected by these crimes, and the organization has requested the following items:

  • bath towels or kitchen towels
  • dish cloths
  • gift cards for local stores (Meijer, Kroger, Target, CVS, etc.)

 

The Canton Public Library will accept items May 7 through 21.
